Agua Viva Womans Shelter Update

The needs of the womens shelter continues to grow with any increase in support. Here is another ministry in need of your help. If your church or missions organization is looking for a ministry to support financially and to visit with teams to share the Gospel and help with contruction etc, then take a look at Aqua Viva.

Fires and Mud Slides Hit Area

The Santa Anna winds fueled a fire here in late October causing the loss of 55 homes, prompting a visit from Mexicos president Felipe Calderón. The fire started in or behind El Zorillo and spread rapidly out the penninsula towards the Bufadora. Barely more than a month later torrential rains caused mud slides which also overwhelmed dozens of homes and buildings. Many more families are in need as a result.

Pastor Jose Luis House Update

Various Churches and groups have contributed funds and labor to help build a house for the Pastor and his family. As seemingly usual, time and cost projections have been underestimated and the family is living in the house with no doors, windows, heat or insulation. Here is a project that needs your help. Come and buy some materials and help put them in place and you will see a long term return on your investment in the Kingdom.

Palmdale Christmas Outreach

For the third year in a row the New Beginnings Church of Palmdale has brought Christmas blessings to an indigenous village in the hills of Cantu near Ensenada Baja Mexico. Along with the word of God, the group brought food and gifts to share over a BBQ with the entire village. They overcame mountains of mud and delays as their arrival here co-incided with torrential rains which caused mudslides blocking roads and filling buildings. Before starting the BBQ, helpers from U-Turn For Christ removed 100 wheelbarrows of mud from the church building in order to make the BBQ possible. December 8, 2007
